Moorbridge is rated Outstanding in all areas of the provision.
It is an integral part of the education system in North Tyneside for Secondary aged pupils.
Staff morale is high, with staff welcoming open conversations about meeting the needs of individual pupils as well as groups of pupils that they are teaching, and they welcome leaders' encouragement and the evaluation and sharing of what works.
MAEPS is based on three sites and each site provides a different type of provision:
* Shiremoor – KS3 (All SEMH) and KS4 AP Route 16 (Disengaged, Behavioural, Social Issues)
* Oswin Terrace, North Shields – KS4 AP ASPIRE (Emotional, Vulnerable, Anxious and Mental Health Provision)
* Blanchland Avenue, North Shields (FDR, 6th Day Response, Outreach, EOTAS and Early Intervention)
Each of the sites offers a successful and popular provision and in recent years we have sustained good results. Our aim is for as many KS4 students to achieve 5 GCSE’s 9-4 /Equivalent as possible. We are proud of our broad and balanced KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
Our students are diverse, exciting, and talented – and the same is true of our staff. We put huge emphasis on the following Core Values:
* Relationships
* Respect
* Resilience
Ofsted 2024 states:
“Staff have created a calm, inclusive environment where pupils flourish. Pupils feel safe and appreciate the caring emotional support that they receive. Pupils typically commented ‘We don’t worry about coming to school anymore’. The school is a place of sanctuary where pupils can be themselves, learn and be happy.”
