We are looking for a Business Management Principal to join our Finance Business Management team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.
Package: Salary range is £62,440 up to £80,000 dependant on experience
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke
AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. Due to the nature of the work, you will be required to attend on site usually at least two days a week, this can be more depending on operational requirement.
Introducing the role:
As a Business Management Principal, you’ll provide technical leadership on project financial systems within the business management team. This includes leading improvement projects to ensure both successful delivery efficiency and improved customer experience.
As part of the Programme Senior Leadership Team, you’ll provide specialist subject matter expertise in business management, cost, planning and analytical services. You will role model the AWE behaviours.
A typical day could look like this:
* Providing high level people, process and tools subject matter expertise and guidance.
* Establishing operational best practice across the sub functions.
* Supporting the development and maintenance of governance and controls.
* Offering subject matter expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) for the analysis of our Programme.
* Managing inputs to monthly reports for the programme to Director and Executive lead boards. (We use Excel and Power Apps)
We’d like you to have some of the following experience or qualifications:
* Degree level education or equivalent experience in:
o Effective communication skills.
o Able to build strong rapport and relationships with stakeholders.
o Owning and developing best practice financial management processes, tools and techniques. (essential)
o Confident developing and inspiring a high-performance team.
o An analytical mind set.
o Proficient with Enterprise financial (ERP) tools - SAP and / or Oracle. (essential)
o A practitioner in Earned Value Management (EVM) (essential)
