We are looking to expand our team by establishing a new centre of excellence in the Channel Islands. We are seeking a detail oriented and highly organised bookkeeping specialist to join our BPS team. The candidate will be responsible for working on client engagements to a high level of technical rigour, ensuring we maintain strong client relationships, and working within a rapidly growing BPS delivery team. Key role responsibilities: Overseeing the preparation of daily financial transaction summaries Maintenance and management of client general ledger accounts Handling accounts payable, receivable, and connected processes Supporting the preparation of payroll and bank reconciliation processes Handling accounts and statements and disclosures, collaborating in the preparation of periodic reports and related reports Coordinating with the firm's tax reporting specialists to ensure that all tax aspects relating to financial statements disclosures are correctly incorporated Reviewing work products for submission to senior level staff and partner sign off Taking responsibility for ensuring that all relevant technical and industry related issues have been appropriately considered and are reflected in the reporting outputs Acting as the main client liaison and point of contact for all matters relating to the account; Providing the link between management and junior staff, responsible for and knowledgeable about the quality of the work for the account; Taking a lead role in driving the client engagement management process; including annual reporting timetable setting, data collection and query requests, liaising with external administrators, and wider relationship management activities, such as holding periodic client status update meetings. Performing an active role in leading process, data, and technology change initiatives to support business growth and efficiency Engaging with senior firm stakeholders to provide updates on business performance and wider status reporting Connect to your skills and professional experience You're a natural at building relationships with clients, are a trusted advisor and are able to build an understanding of how different types of businesses and structures operate.
