**Job Description: Mechanical Assembler**
**Location:** Aston, Birmingham
**Salary:** £13-£14 per hour (depending on experience)
**Working Hours:**
* Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
* Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
* 1-hour unpaid break daily (39.5 hours per week)
**About the Role:**
We are seeking a skilled **Mechanical Assembler** to join our team at our Birmingham facility. You will be responsible for assembling precision-engineered products, such as the Midas 2 system, to high standards of quality and functionality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Assemble mechanical products by following schematic diagrams and detailed written instructions.
* Use a variety of hand tools confidently and effectively to ensure accurate assembly.
* Inspect and test assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to company safety procedures.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly process.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
* Proven experience in mechanical assembly, with the ability to interpret schematic diagrams and follow written instructions.
* Confidence in working independently and using hand tools proficiently.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 procedures is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
