Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing first-class technical support to our diverse client base, ensuring the smooth operation of their IT systems, and resolving any technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or ticketing system.
2. Perform remote troubleshooting of systems.
3. Walk clients through problem-solving processes and guide them through step-by-step solutions.
4. Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
5. Monitor and maintain client IT infrastructure to prevent issues before they occur.
6. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure swift resolution of more complex issues.
7. Document technical knowledge and customer environments.
8. Train end-users when new technologies or IT procedures are implemented.
9. Maintain a high level of customer service and adhere to service management principles.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
3. Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
4. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
5. Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
6. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field.
7. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are an advantage.
