The Role: Tameside Housing Advice Centre is a busy, fast-paced customer-facing service offering housing advice to anyone in need. Contacts can be in person, over the phone, or electronically, requiring rapid responses to prevent homelessness. The role is the first point of contact for customers, some of whom may need additional support to access the service. Responsibilities include administrative tasks such as processing invoices, updating systems, assisting officers, and supporting vulnerable households. The role is rewarding as it makes a real difference in people's lives.

* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to input and understand data
* Ability to work under pressure
* Experience in a busy office environment
* Experience setting up and maintaining administrative systems
* Experience working with the public
* Experience in customer care or advice
* Knowledge of Housing or Homelessness
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Managing customer expectations
* Responding professionally to complaints
* Good telephone manners
* Understanding of Housing Legislation and Guidance
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
