Who You Are As an Employment Support Worker, you will work with individuals with disabilities, enabling them to acquire skills for voluntary or paid employment. You will contribute to co-produced plans, facilitate the achievement of outcomes, and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, social workers, and other professionals. You possess enthusiasm, initiative, and a proactive approach to responsibilities. What the job involves The role involves implementing personalized support plans, ensuring health and safety compliance, and providing onsite guidance to Employment Support Assistants. You will act as the main contact for individuals, assist in stock management, and ensure the efficient operation of service settings. Duties include communicating with stakeholders, maintaining records, and contributing to business activities like stock taking and sales. In the absence of management, you'll oversee operations and ensure quality service. Skills QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to attain Experience in supporting individuals with disabilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Intermediate computer literacy Ability to mentor and support staff Proficiency in conducting dynamic risk assessments Understanding of Health & Safety practices English proficiency (Welsh proficiency desirable) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team
