As the Lead Specialist Clinical Pharmacist for Acute Medicine, you will play a pivotal role in delivering, developing, and assessing the clinical pharmacy services at Alexandra Hospital. You will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care, optimizing patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, and supporting the multidisciplinary medical team with specialized knowledge in medicines management. Your role will involve close collaboration with consultants, medical staff, and nursing teams to advise on all pharmaceutical aspects of patient care. You will participate actively in consultant-led ward rounds, providing clinical pharmacy support, and ensuring that prescribing practices are safe, effective, and in line with national and local guidelines.,
* Clinical Leadership: Lead and develop the clinical pharmacy services within the Acute Medicine division, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
* Patient Care: Provide specialist pharmaceutical advice, create personalized care plans, and ensure safe and effective use of medicines.
* Education and Training: Deliver training and mentorship to junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
* Service Development: Collaborate with senior clinical staff to innovate and enhance the delivery of pharmacy services, contributing to the hospitals vision of providing outstanding healthcare.
* Research and Audit: Conduct and participate in clinical audits and research projects, ensuring that the pharmacy services meet regulatory standards and drive improvements in patient care.
