Are you wanting to lead, develop and support a team in a busy outpatient environment? Are you passionate about continuous quality improvement and providing high quality patient care? If so, we are looking for a self-motivated individual to work with us to manage and continue to develop our Main Outpatient Department.
The outpatient departments are busy and rewarding environments to work in. Working alongside Service Managers and Matron along with Specialist Nurses, Qualified Nurses, Assistant Practitioners, Health Care Assistants, and administrative teams, you will be fully supported in this exciting role. The role requires you to be a problem solver, to be flexible, resilient, and forward-thinking.
Main duties of the job
Management and leadership of outpatient department. It is essential that the post holder will have a nursing qualification, working with the clinical team to maintain a high level of clinical experience and ensure that outpatient performance targets are achieved and sustained, including some waiting list management. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of staff on a daily basis to ensure the highest levels of patient care and experience are achieved.

The leadership and improvement programme aims to:

* Equip staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead and complete service improvements within the scope of your role.
After you complete these six and a half days of training, you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer a range of additional in-house and externally provided courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.

Person Specification
EXPERIENCE
* Varied experience in Nursing
* Evidence of leadership and development
* Experience of working autonomously and managing a clinical caseload
* Evidence of audit and research experience
Knowledge and skills
* Extensive knowledge of pre and post operative care specific to the client group
Qualifications and training
* RN NMC registrant
* BSc (Hons) Degree
* Recognised teaching qualification
