We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate / Post Graduate Building Surveyor to join the dedicated team of a Hull based consultancy. In this role, you will be actively involved in delivering top-tier building surveying services. You’ll gain hands‐on experience in inspections, reporting, building pathology, design, and project management, all while working closely with clients to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project leadership: Oversee building surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects meet quality, time, and budgetary targets.
2. Inspections & Reporting: Conduct thorough site inspections, assess building conditions, and produce detailed reports that identify issues and recommend solutions.
3. Technical Advisory: Provide expert guidance on building regulations, planning permissions, and industry standards.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with clients, architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders to support project success.
5. Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies (including 3D scanning and Revit), and regulatory updates to continuously enhance your work.
Qualifications & Experience
1. A BSc in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
2. Early expertise in building pathology and defect diagnosis is highly desirable.
3. Familiarity with construction methodologies and materials.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a clear and concise approach to presenting technical information.
5. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
