Our Engineering Team is a core function of our business, and each engineer's contribution goes a long way in ensuring all our vehicles operate in safe and roadworthy condition. What Arriva can offer you as a PSV/PCV Chargehand or PSV Supervisor: £22.16p/h (with the opportunity for overtime). 40 hours per week. Permanent, full-time contract. The role of the PSV/PCV Chargehand or PSV Supervisor will involve: Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards. Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability. MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks. Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA). Requirements of the PSV/PCV Chargehand or PSV Supervisor: Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC Qualification (Or equivalent). Knowledge of PSV or HGV maintenance. Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation. Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance - Desirable but not essential. Experience within a PSV Chargehand or similar role. Electrical circuits and systems knowledge - Desirable but not essential. A full UK driving licence (6 points or less) – essential. Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical – essential.
