We are looking for a highly experienced CNC Machinist (Turning) to join our engineering team. As a CNC Machinist, you have responsibility of programming, setting and operating multi-axis CNC lathes and milling machines in the Engineering Division using a variety of materialsResponsibilitiesPlans machining by studying work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, vices, vacuum plates, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and stock pushers.Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to company production and, quality standards and, procedures.Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.Maintains safe operations by adhering to health and safety procedures and regulations.Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; speaking to line manager to call for repairs.Maintains continuity of jobs in department by properly documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs on job cards, timesheets and/or SAP systems.Documents actions by completing production and quality logs and/or timesheets.Updates job knowledge by actively participating in on-the-job training opportunities; familiarizing yourself with company policies, processes and procedures and, making use of the Standard Operating Procedures available.Accomplishment toward organization goals by accepting ownership for undertaking new and different requests; exploring opportunities to continually improve on existing processes to reduce cost and increase efficiency.QualificationsHNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferredExcellent attention to detailOrganizational and time management skillsCoaching and skills share.
