Title : Personal Accident Claims Handler Location : Remote (UK based only) Salary : Depending on experience Term : Permanent - Full Time (35 hours pw) We are seeking experienced, confident Personal Accident Claims Handlers to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. The role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a specialist team who throughout their employment with Sedgwick, will be loaned out to internal and external clients, and teams to offer their claims expertise. This opportunity enables suitable candidates to enhance their current skillset, network with a diverse book of clients, develop their knowledge on variety of systems, and still be supported by your team. Each assignment typically lasts between 3- 12 months which means that no two days will ever be the same Successful candidates will be employed on a secondment model, meaning they will be assigned to various teams based on business needs. While these assignments are temporary in nature, this is a permanent position, and once one secondment concludes, you will transition to another project within the organisation. This role is fully remote, although when working with our clients you will be required to travel to their offices to complete training over a couple of days (includes overnight stays paid for by the company). You may also be required to attend our offices for meetings and events. Key Responsibilities: Managing a varied and complex portfolio of claims, including personal lines, property accident insurance, employers' liability, public liability, and casualty claims, from initial notification to settlement. Taking and making calls to various stakeholders including insurers, solicitors and policy holders. Interpreting and applying policy terms and coverage to ensure accurate claims handling. Negotiating claims to achieve timely and fair settlements while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices. Working seamlessly across multiple systems and for various clients, adapting quickly to different processes and procedures. Supporting both internal and external teams on a secondment basis, providing expert claims handling support as required. Demonstrating a strong understanding of direct marketing and its relevance in the claims management process. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in end-to-end claims handling across personal lines, accident, casualty, employers liability, and public liability insurance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex claims and provide sound recommendations. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with clients, insurers, and stakeholders. Ability to work independently and efficiently within a remote setting. Experience working with multiple claims management systems and adapting to different team environments. Confident in learning new systems and new policies and processes.
