My client, operating since 2015, is a growing provider of manned security and facilities management services. They provide a wide range of security services for a diverse client base that includes Councils, Care Homes, Schools, Academies, Universities, Gatehouses, Checkpoints, Zoos, and both Commercial and Residential companies, with contracts across the country. Their Cleaning Division predominantly performs non-contractual cleaning requirements, but there is a strong desire to explore and pursue more contracted work to achieve growth.
They have reached a point in their development where they need to recruit a Business Development Manager to support their Cleaning Division in achieving their growth plans. Candidates for this role must be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. This BDM role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to build a whole sales function within the business, developing a sales team over time.
Candidates should have a good all-round knowledge of the cleaning industry and have successfully sold in this sector, with knowledge of all elements of the sales cycle from lead finding through to closing the sale. Strong communication and presentation skills, an engaging personality, and a smart appearance are essential. A UK driving licence is also a must. Candidates can reside anywhere, operating remotely with occasional office visits.
They are looking for a mature, industry-experienced Business Development professional to come in and get on with the job rather than needing direction. As this is a new position, they are happy to devise a commission structure and sales targets in consultation with the successful candidate.
Please note: The client will only consider candidates who have previous sales success within the cleaning sector.
Basic salary: £35K (possibly higher for a particularly strong candidate), commission to be agreed, mileage allowance, laptop, mobile phone, Nest pension, and 20 days holiday.
