The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst for UK and Ireland (based at our office in Solihull) to enable Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Commercial and Financial leadership drive performance and decision making using quality data analysis covering sales, market share, margin, cost and cash-flow activities.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will act as a Finance business partner to a variety of internal stakeholders to provide both day to day and strategic financial support through the preparation and presentation of historical and forward-looking financial analysis and the provision of tools to enable decisions which directly impact the successful performance of the business.
What You’ll Do
* Support all cyclical processes and reporting including:
o Month end, journals & reporting
o Monthly outlooks
o Balance sheet reconciliations
o LBEs (Latest Best Estimates)
o Forecasting
o Market share reporting
o Customer rebates
o Internal & external commission calculations
o Annual regional & territory target setting
* Work with large, complex data sets that help predict, improve and measure the success of key business outcomes.
* Develop new & existing input tools to collate information from regions & territories.
* Develop new & existing output tools & reports to present collated data.
* Own, configure, maintain & train on local systems & reports.
* Ensure that best operating practices and control processes are in place and adhered to.
The role is based in our Solihull office, but occasional travelling (5%) is anticipated in different UK Abbott sites or other European Abbott sites.
Required qualifications/Profile
* Business or Finance degree and/or professional finance qualifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
* Proven mastery on large data handling & superior user of Excel.
* Analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, simplification, & data validation.
* Experienced user of systems (e.g., SAP) and financial planning systems.
* Excellent commercial acumen.
* Team player.
* Prior finance experience preferably in a large corporate organization & experience in healthcare/med tech is a plus.
