Job Title: HVAP Data Centre Shift Supervisor
HVAP Data Centre Shift Supervisor is required to be based at a Critical Data Centre Environment located in Slough. The successful candidate will have a salary of £55,000 and a package that includes overtime, free on-site parking, career pathways, and a company pension.
About the Role:
The HVAP Data Centre Shift Supervisor will be responsible for controlling and implementing deliverables against all allocated Customer Specific Service Level and KPI Agreements. This will involve working with colleagues to develop and implement departmental strategy, objectives, and improvement processes.
The operational requirements for customer sites include being a member of the team covering 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, on a shift Rota basis, and being available to cover shift members where possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Understand maintenance or extra works to be carried out and identify potential impact to health and safety and critical plant operation through Critical Environment Work Authorisation (CEWA).
* Identify and utilise mitigating measures to address potential impact, through implementation of safe systems of work and operational procedures (SOP and EOP).
* Supervise engineering team on critical maintenance and operations.
* Assist with asset condition reviews for engineering plant.
* Comply with customers RNOW change approval system.
* Actively supervise engineering risks through applying CERM methodologies.
* Be proficient in use and application of CERMview.
* Be an appointed High Voltage Authorised Person.
* Establish and develop trusting relationships with site engineering team, TET team, DCS, and other client staff.
* Lead cultural change on daily basis, through effective role model for safe working practices, compliance, quality standards, and best practice methods.
* Volunteer ideas/initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and improved service levels.
* Positive contribution to 'team' effort, with 'can do' attitude and raising of standards.
* Undertake other tasks as required by Contract Manager, in accordance with experience and competencies.
Requirements:
* Citizenship & Guilds Electrical competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
* Comprehensive building services knowledge in similar environments to minimum of HVAC standards.
* Critical Environment Experience.
* Good Customer relationship skills.
* Working knowledge of 'Permit to work' systems.
* Time served Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship.
* HV switching qualification/experience.
* 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
