We produce Low, Medium and High Voltage cables up to 132kV as well as accessories and components; using high-grade, fire-resistant materials invariably sought after by key institutions and multinational companies. Wrexham also manufactures submarine cables used for offshore wind farms.
About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Technician to join our team at our Wrexham factory. You will report to the Product and Process Engineering Manager and be responsible for applying engineering solutions in order to support and improve all aspects of the cable manufacturing process.
This position could be suited for a proactive, highly motivated person that is looking to utilise their interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
You will be involved in a wide range of projects covering process optimization, process commissioning, materials usage and the introduction of new products in to manufacturing together with the support tasks required to achieve the above, such as maintenance of data systems and producing process instructions.
Actively apply continuous improvement and proactive methodologies to ensure that optimum quality, product and machine efficiencies are obtained with minimum waste.
Conduct root cause analysis
Identify and resolve issues throughout production
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualified to HND / HNC, in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
Hold previous experience within a manufacturing or similar environment.
Possess sound theoretical engineering knowledge.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and work at all levels.
A high level of drive and energy are required to achieve objectives whilst ensuring standards are maintained.
Demonstrate problem solving skills, tenacity and creative thinking.
Display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
