Virgin Media O2 is seeking an Account Director to join the Critical Network Infrastructure (CNI) account team, carrying new business and existing revenue responsibilities for select partners. This role involves maintaining and elevating excellent customer relationships, representing VMO2 Fixed Wholesale and our products and services. You will lead virtual teams, ensuring opportunity and general account success across pre-sale, delivery, and in-life stages.
We're looking for an experienced sales professional with a strong business development mentality and excellent senior partner leadership skills. Specific experience in the Wholesale/Network Infrastructure telco market, including knowledge of key players and macro trends, is essential—particularly with MNOs, broadcast, and Towercos.
We want someone with a strong desire to inspire change, a validated sales track record, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Central to our business is our customers' perception of us, reflected in our Net Promoter Score, which the Account Director will help drive towards our North Star with the support of the virtual team!

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
1. Specific experienced knowledge of the Wholesale / Network Infrastructure telco market, its key players, and the macro trends, In particular, experience with MNOs, broadcast, Towercos,
2. Demonstrable experience leading virtual teams to close multi-million pound (£5M+), large, complex, strategic deals.
3. Proven experience in opportunity generation & revenue retention, managing large, strategic, complex, customers, generating annual revenues exceeding £5M.
4. Strong commercial acuity, proven financial literacy and understanding of how different commercial propositions impact P&L and Capex budget.
5. Demonstrable technical understanding of Fibre and Optical networks and the key criteria wholesale partners look for when deploying network infrastructure.
6. Experience of liaising at senior/board level (C-level)
7. Proven and outstanding sales and account management experience
