This role is for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer with an interest in the design and supply of specialist water treatment solutions used for enhanced oil recovery and energy recovery systems for CO2 emission reduction. You will report to our Lead Mechanical Engineer who will provide you with a development plan structured to meet the qualification requirements of the relevant professional body and provide incremental increases in responsibility and autonomy. Roles will include the creation of engineering documents, specification and review of equipment quotations, vendor documentation and client specification review, and assisting in the preparation of proposals for new projects.
Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering MEng, grade: 2:1 or higher
Languages: Fluent English is mandatory
Skills:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Possess good judgment, high level of problem-solving skills, and pay close attention to detail
* Ability to interact well as part of a team
* Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
* Driver’s license preferred
Travel:
The role may require international travel and could include offshore working in the UK and worldwide if desired. Full safety training will be provided by the company should this arise.
Office Hours:
37.5 hours per week in the Glasgow office (Hamilton Technology Park). Some out of hours support will be required on an ad-hoc basis.
