The Market Place is an established and respected charity providing young people’s information, advice and counselling services in Leeds – particularly in relation to the emotional wellbeing and mental health needs of young people.
Following a major restructure over the summer, we are now recruiting a Mental Health Youth Worker.
The role will be primarily to work in the Drop-In service and to co-facilitate two voice and influence groups. All the work will be with 11-25 year olds.
Working Hours: Thursday and Friday 2pm – 6.30pm and Saturday 12 noon – 4pm (some slight variation to times may apply)

Minimum Requirements
* At least two years experience supporting and empowering young people
* Knowledge and understanding of core youth work principles
* A recognised youth work qualification (or similar e.g. social work or counselling qualifications) (Applications from those currently studying a relevant qualification will also be considered)
* Experience working with mental health issues
* Experience of facilitating group work
