Job Summary
Responsible for the management and improvement of cost prices, contract management, streamlining the supplier profile and improving lead times, as well as managing costs for stock, commodity items and services ensuring it is competitive.
Manage and review pricing negotiation strategies to attain the best terms whilst managing supplier portfolio.
Contracts negotiation and management, putting long term strategic framework agreements in place.
Supporting Planners to fulfil demands with Purchase Order delivery dates and expediting critical items & Commercial Team with sourcing of new projects as well as support to both the Procurement Manager and Purchasing Coordinators to enable department to work as a team.
Responsibilities
* Championing Herrco Supply Partnership Standards.
* Forming robust and commercially attractive and sustainable partnerships.
* Working closely with the purchasing team in publishing and maintaining accurate Supplier Details - Contact Hierarchy, Accurate lead-times, maintaining up to date Pricing with appropriate price breaks secured. Supplier KPIs agreed and monitored.
* Reviewing and Improving Supplier KPIs and achieving 98.5% OTIF service level driven through regular supplier review meetings.
* Maintaining price stability and achieving cost down projects.
* Working closely with commercial to understand our client needs and ensure that we achieve margin expectations through good buying and ensuring that service level agreements are fit for purpose so that we can exceed our client expectations.
* Support the supply chain team and the wider business teams in escalation of any Supply NCRs and service complaints or expediting of orders. Take the lead in resolving issues that will impact the business where requested.
* Source new suppliers and solutions.
Skills
* Buying experience within a manufacturing environment.
* CIPS Qualification (desirable).
* Experience of onboarding new suppliers and audits.
* Capable of identifying cost saving opportunities and delivering cost down projects.
* Be highly analytical and good at problem solving.
* Proactive, well organised and able to build strong relationships.
* High standard on all Microsoft packages.
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
* Super positive outlook.
