Senior Sports Coach and Partner
PESSPA Ltd has an outstanding reputation as a sports coaching provider to schools within North Somerset. Through established relationships, we meet the needs of individual schools and Multi Academy Trusts in the delivery of PE, School Sport and Physical Activity.
We at PESSPA are now looking for a stakeholder to act as a partner for the business. The individual will be responsible for working with our existing schools and identifying new partnerships and revenue streams. The role will be split across delivery and management, with flexible working available.
We will consider offering a minimum of 30 hours, whilst also considering up to 37.5 hours, to suit the needs of the successful person. This is a term time only contract, with opportunities for overtime within the school holidays.
The successful person can expect to be self-employed, earning between £450-£600 per week depending on hours. The senior sports coach will be incentivised by a bonus based commission that will be paid at 20% for any new business that the successful partner brings to the business.

Job Definition: Senior Sports Coach and Partner
1. Teach Physical Education, Extra Curricular Clubs and Physical Activity to primary school children.
2. Grow the business by meeting partners and other stakeholders. Bring in extra revenue through school delivery and holiday clubs.
3. Ensure planning, preparation and organisation of lessons and activities are well managed and in line with school requirements.
4. Manage school delivery timetable for you and your team.
5. Keep up to date with government initiatives relating to teaching of Physical Education & Sport and prepare policies and departmental targets as required.
6. Manage cover requirements of the project, scheduling cover coaches with schools and coordinating sickness, holiday and commitments of existing delivery staff.
7. Report weekly to the Director to update on progress and key school achievements.
8. Lead on delivery of CPD across PESSPA and its network.
9. Responsible for self and others in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
10. Any other duties deemed responsible by the Director.
Person Specification
Technical Criteria:
1. A degree in a Sports/Business related subject or QTS.
2. Minimum 4 years experience and understanding of the PE National Curriculum and working with children at Key Stage 1 and 2.
3. Be confident and competent with delivering PE lessons to large groups of children, both in lesson delivery and CPD for school staff.
4. Knowledge and understanding of planning, safeguarding, health and safety in sport, and child protection in sport.
5. Experience of working in a customer-facing service.
6. NGB Level 3 Coaching Qualification or Qualified Teacher Status.
7. Experience of managing a team.
8. A good insight into sporting/health related issues.
