Responsibilities include Strategic Leadership & Governance: Develop & Drive Strategy – Lead Axis CLC’s Social Impact strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving social value legislation, including the UK Social Value Act. Stakeholder Engagement – Influence policy by working with government agencies, local authorities, industry bodies, and NGOs to shape the future of social impact in construction. Operational Excellence (What You Deliver): Enhance Community Engagement – Lead the corporate volunteering programme, charitable partnerships, and employee engagement in social impact activities. Partnership Development – Work alongside clients, third-sector organisations, and industry bodies to develop high-impact projects that drive real-world change. Financial Accountability (What You Own): Budget Management – Oversee financial planning and resource allocation for social impact initiatives. Funding & Grants – Identify funding opportunities and apply for grants to scale impact projects Customer Focus (Who You Impact): Community Impact – Develop high-value programmes that benefit local communities, ensuring alignment with DEI principles and workforce development initiatives. Employee Engagement – Foster an internal culture of purpose-driven work by embedding social impact into employee development programmes. Team/ People Experience (Who You Lead or Collaborate With): Lead & Inspire Teams – Manage, mentor, and develop the Social Value Managers, Social Impact Coordinator, and Social Impact Intern. Employee Volunteering – Promote a strong internal volunteering culture, ensuring engagement at all levels of the business. Innovation, Tech & Continuous Improvement (How You Excel): Social Impact Innovation – Introduce new methodologies, technologies, and strategic partnerships that drive continuous improvement in impact delivery.
