About the role The HR Administrator will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR administrative support, playing a vital role in supporting the HR department and wider business by handling administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes. Setting up DBS applications on Volt and requesting employment references in a timely manner. Assisting with salary benchmarking exercises. Processing DBS renewals for existing staff members and liaising with the external background checks team. Making necessary arrangements for training and events, issuing certificates of attendance and updating personnel records with training attended. Managing training feedback questionnaires and reporting on relevant findings. Issuing monthly HR nomination certificates to staff and allocating Prezzee awards via our rewards/benefits platform, Perkpal, for HR nominations/employee recognition. Co-ordinating the annual long service award process by preparing the associated letters and liaising with the nursery managers. Assisting the HR team with the planning and organising of the Annual Christmas party. Completing administration for leavers including confirmation letters and archiving of personnel files. Running ad-hoc reports for exit and recruitment surveys. Supporting with the monthly payroll process by collating sickness/absence documentation and fit notes. Acting as a note-taker in meetings with staff. Helping to maintain the company intranet pages. Supporting the HR team with the collation of documentation during the annual audit process. Issuing communications to the business and responding to requests for information and reports. Maintaining up to date equal opportunities records and provide reports as required. Your qualifications and experience: Previous HR Administration experience Strong team ethic with the ability to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Up to date knowledge of employment law and practice Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to plan and prioritise workload, working under pressure to tight deadlines Proficient use of MS office packages as well as some familiarity with HR Systems Desirably to have a CIPD Level 3 Qualification We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
