Our client is a lovely, family-run business with over 15 years of success in their market. They supplypanies whose names you will find very familiar and moved into nice new offices just over 2 years ago. Hays is delighted to be the only agency working with them to recruit a new administrator to their small team in Wisbech,
Your new role
Your job will be to provide admin support to the managers, directors and customers of the business, including booking new orders on to the system including financial information to allow for accurate invoicing at a later date. You might update information on to Excel spreadsheets including financial data (you won't need to know macros and pivot tables but you will need to know intermediate level formatting and formulas). When a paymentes in, you'll log on to a customers account and you'll support your technical colleagues by pulling together data and reports. This is an all round administration role where you'll often get one-off tasks to do so your work will be varied and interesting. You'll often liaise with suppliers and customers so there's plenty of interaction with people from a wide range of backgrounds too.
Everyone works in the office 5 days per week and thepany shuts down over Christmas so you'll never have to negotiate with colleagues for Festive time off again.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client is looking to hire an experienced administrator who is happy to work independently in a small team. Confidence and experience of Excel spreadsheets to basic level formula is important to them and may be tested at interview. Most importantly, our client is looking for someone who can work on their own initiative and if they find a problem, they go about solving it!
