676CW EHS Advisor Hinkley Point C, Somerset Temporary contract, Full time £400 PAYE per day Job Title: EHS Advisor Description & Background: The EHS Advisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective environmental, health, and safety programs. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety, and continuously improving EHS performance across all operations. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations. • Coordinate risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential risks and implement control measures. • Ensure all staff are adequately trained and informed about EHS protocols. • Lead investigations of EHS incidents, near-misses, and non-compliances. • Monitor EHS performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management. • Stay current with EHS laws and regulations and ensure GE's policies are updated accordingly. • Liaise with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits. Experience Required: • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. • Professional EHS certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) are highly desirable. • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
