SEND Teaching Assistant - PRU
Axcis Education is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Ealing. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who has supported students with social, emotional, and mental health needs and manages challenging behaviour. The position is Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:00. In this role, you will support students with SEMH and challenging behaviours, helping them regulate their emotions and remain engaged in learning. Additionally, you will assist teachers in planning and delivering personalised learning programs for students with a variety of needs. Your role will also involve helping to maintain a calm and safe classroom environment, employing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Requirements:
1. Enhanced DBS on the update service
2. Experience working with SEMH and challenging behaviour in an educational setting
3. Experience with Mentoring or support work is beneficial
4. Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
5. Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs
6. Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:00
