Are you passionate about shaping the future of transport? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy working on impactful projects? We are looking for a Regional Transport Programme and Commissioning Manager to join our innovative highways engineering team to work on exciting engineering and transport projects in and around Neath Port Talbot.
The successful candidate will:
* Lead and Represent: Be the voice of the Council at Corporate Transport Committees.
* Strategise and Implement: Plan and execute transport strategies and projects both locally and regionally.
* Champion Active Travel: Manage the Active Travel Network programme, including the Council’s Walking and Cycling Strategy.
* Collaborate and Deliver: Work with key stakeholders like Welsh Government, Network Rail, and Sustrans to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
You will have experience in/of:
* Expertise in Transport Policy and Funding: Knowledge of the Active Travel Wales Act 2013 is essential.
* Leadership and Project Management: Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
* Grant Application Experience: Skilled in sourcing grant opportunities and preparing business plans for grant applications.
* Regeneration Project Leadership: Experience in leading regeneration projects is a plus.
Ideally, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree and/or substantial relevant experience in the Programme and commissioning management field.
