Job Description
Quality Lead
Location: Cramlington (Travel – UK & Europe) - Some travel to other locations will be required.
We are unable to offer sponsorship or relocation for this role.
Salary: Circa £45,000 per year
Hours: hours per week

Job Purpose:
Working as part of a team, the Quality Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the Quality team, delivering ‘step change’ quality improvements working closely with the Operations & Process Engineering functions to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
13. Manage a small team of people to ensure the product and service standards are maintained.
14. Driving continuous improvement initiatives across site with regard to quality complaint issues.
15. Ensure compliance to ISO9001 standards
16. Provide leadership and training on quality standards and processes
17. Support the Quality Manager in the developing strategic objectives
18. Conduct internal and external audit and develop the sites quality policies
19. Develop opportunities to automise and digitally transform the department
20. Facilitate Improvements for headline quality metrics
21. Provide training and mentoring of the current quality team
22. Facilitating Kaizens
23. Benchmarking and Best Practice within Quality.
24. Develop quality standards
25. Attend and participate in all relevant meetings / calls as required.
26. Deputize for the Quality Manager as required with decision making authority
Qualifications
Required Skills:
27. Previous experience in a Quality organisation, ideally in manufacturing background
28. Proven experience leading teams and managing quality systems
29. Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices ie ISO900
30. Strong team player
31. Results driven and proactive with initiatives
32. Strong technical background within a Quality Organisation
33. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
34. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
35. Strong communication and leadership skills
36. Proficiency in in quality management tools and software
Preferred Skills:
37. Certification in quality and lean six sigma or lean manufacturing methodologies
38. Computer literate preferably in Google Chrome
