The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a specialism in either Biology, Chemistry, or Physics being welcomed. Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons tailored to a range of learning abilities
* Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting content to suit different levels of understanding
* Encourage students to develop scientific thinking and problem-solving skills
* Utilise a range of teaching methods, including practical experiments and demonstrations
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and intervention where necessary
* Work collaboratively with the Science department to refine and enhance schemes of work
* Contribute to extracurricular Science initiatives, such as STEM clubs, competitions, and field trips
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics preferred)
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the Sciences
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities
* Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practice
* Ability to contribute to whole-school STEM initiatives and enrichment activities
