Job summary This is an Apprenticeship / developmental role. The trainee will work towards progression into the post of B5 Rotational Dietitian through successful completion of the Dietetic Apprenticeship Programme which includes the attainment of Degree Standard Dietitian Level 7. Your own personal development will be supported through regular supervision; competency based learning opportunities and access to external training as appropriate. This post is based at St Richards Hospital and will join our team of dietitians providing services to St Richards Hospital (approx. 500 beds). The department is well respected and has clinical speciality areas in acute medicine, critical care, diabetes, elderly care, gastroenterology, home enteral tube feeding, oncology, paediatrics, stroke/neurology, bariatrics and surgery. Chichester is located on the South coast with the sea and South Downs within easy reach. Main duties of the job Work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in providing a dietetic assessments and treatments for a selected caseload of patients, under the supervision of a registered dietitian. Provide nutritional assessment for individual or group interventions as identified by the dietitian. Develop by the end of the apprenticeship period the ability to work independently and autonomously with robust clinical reasoning.
