Job Title: Grid Connection Engineer
Location: Glasgow Central (Remote, occasional office presence)
Salary & Benefits:
£60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience)
Health insurance
27 days annual leave + bank holidays

Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and review of grid connection solutions for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and storage, with capacities over 50 MW and voltage levels of 132 kV and above.
* Manage the end-to-end grid application process, including preparation and submission of applications to Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), ensuring compliance with G99 regulations.
* Serve as the main point of contact with DNOs, handling technical queries and securing timely approvals.
* Provide internal consultancy to advise on best practices for grid connections and project improvements.
* Ensure that all grid connections meet G99 requirements, grid code standards, and safety protocols.
* Work closely with internal teams to align grid connection milestones with project timelines

Qualifications:
* Experience in grid connection processes for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and storage preferred).
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant qualification
* Strong understanding of grid capacity management, grid code regulations, and G99 compliance.
* Knowledge of working with voltages at 132 kV and above.
* Proven experience liaising with DNOs and managing grid applications.
* Ability to review technical designs and provide input for optimal solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
