As Operations Manager UK you report to the Operations Director BauWatch UK & ROI and are responsible for the day to day running of the Operations function and the overall management of multiple depots and hubs across the country, product installation, planning and logistics, whilst managing a direct team of 3 middle managers and larger team of 25. You will manage the efficient and effective planning and coordination of orders throughout the entire organization (from planning order to customer management) on a daily basis. You are also responsible for Health, Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental activities of the company. In the day-to-day operations in the UK, you play a pivotal role between Sales, Planning & Placement, Production and Service, and Monitoring to ensure a Right First Time, Customer Focused approach, and management of risk and compliance. Key responsibilities include: Leading operational control for Order Fulfilment, Assembly and Service Delivery Lead, motivate, and support a large remote team across 5-6 locations, within a demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution Ensure customer satisfaction on activities carried out by the Operations team Monitor the progress of installed security systems and the Service Delivery department; monitor preparation, planning and execution for effective and efficient execution. Technical content development of the employees based on best practice, work regulations, quality requirements and standards, guidelines and procedures. Managing the design of Service Hubs and expanding the Service offer. Ensuring work discussions, toolbox meetings and workplace instructions are organized and carried out as a daily start of the work within the team with clear instructions, planning and division of work. Ensuring good team spirit within the Operations team and between Ops and other functions in the UK and overseas. Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant Oversee materials and inventory Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management Addressing critical performance improvement opportunities and driving operational excellence through Setting and monitoring quality metrics such as defect rates, first time right, and customer satisfaction scores in line with Daily Performance Management (DPM) Performing regular audits and addressing quality control issues Required skills and qualifications Five or more years of proven success in an operations management role Strong skills in budget development and oversight Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications Strong problem solving skills Valid Driving Licence Preferred skills and qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, engineering, mechanics, business administration, or related field Strong IT skills Multiple years of budget, financial reporting and data analysis experience Experience within the CCTV / Security fields or hire industry Personal Attributes Coaching leadership: Giving direction to employees and encouraging them to take action in the context of their task performance in order to finally achieve a certain result.
