North Lanarkshire Council, as one of Scotland’s largest local authorities, is leading an exciting and ambitious regeneration programme for its town centres and surrounding areas as part of its plans for inclusive economic growth. Working with a variety of partners, the Housing service has a key role in guiding this regeneration towards sustainable development.
As a Business Development Officer, you will be integral to developing services that require an integrated approach to business analysis, performance management, strategic development, business planning, business system development, and customer engagement.
Based within the Civic Centre, Motherwell, you will join our Business Development and Support team that supports the Housing Service through performance management, budget monitoring, production of financial reports, regulatory returns, trend analysis, operational procedures, and implementation of the replacement Housing & Asset Management system.
You will also be involved in the procurement and management of operational service contracts.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Educated to degree/SVQ level 4/HND level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
2. Moderate relevant experience in a housing, quality, finance, or business-based environment.
3. Commitment to customer care, ability to work to tight deadlines, and manage a varied workload.
4. IT literate with experience of auditing and leading service review activity.
5. Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.
Desirable qualifications include a housing, business, finance, or quality qualification, and experience of developing public services and resident consultation.
2 temporary positions will be based within the Business Systems Team and will be directly involved in the implementation of the new Housing & Asset Management system. The remaining posts will be part of the Performance, Development & Regulation team.
