Academic Coach and Technician in Plumbing Hull Total salary £23,967.46 pro rata per annum Salary Breakdown: £9,649.03 per annum pro rata for Academic Coach element of the position. £14,318.43 pro rata for the hours worked as a Technician. 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year 14 hours Academic Coach, 23 hours Technician As our Academic Coach and Technician in Plumbing, you will provide academic and or technical training to students to support achievement within the technical qualification of their programme. Through classroom and or workshop training you will aim to develop, improve and consolidate learning. The post holder will support the achievement of students through the development of practical and academic skills to include support for student learning activities in workshops, one to one and classrooms situations; provide teaching support on projects and assignments set by teachers; provide high quality resource management including specialist equipment; monitor and support students on work experience. Responsibilities of our Academic Coach and Technician in Plumbing: To provide and deliver training of a technical nature to support curriculum delivery to students and teaching staff. As a member of academic staff work effectively together with other academic staff and cross-college colleagues as one team, respect and value each other to deliver outstanding services to students. Support teaching staff and students with equipment provision and maintenance. Deliver high quality learning experiences which enable students to develop in their learning. Lead the specialist equipment provision to ensure it meets the needs and requirements of everyone using it. Deliver training improve the technical and or academic skills of students. Supervise and provide instruction to groups of students to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to the qualification. Assess learning and measure student progress through a range of assessment methods. Ensure that consumables, materials, preparation and stock control are available and prepared to the required level in practical learning environments. Actively comply and contribute to the College’s policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities and Data Protection.
