Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Video Manager to join the Social & Online team. Reporting to the Director of Social, the Senior Social Video Manager [SSVM] will oversee internal video production managing a team of video editors and support staff while steering the editorial direction of video content in collaboration with other stakeholders including the Head of Social Media. The SSVM will own the video content schedule and be an experienced manager and digital content expert, familiar with how and where online audiences engage with branded content. They will be experienced in managing the team’s video production cycle from concept briefing and filming to editing and publishing with a keen eye on performance KPIs and reporting. They will be knowledgeable about the technical aspects of video publishing across all social networks with a particular skillset in YouTube publishing and management. The SSVM will have experience of content curation and be familiar with building and maintaining a YouTube content pipeline of shortform, midform and compilation videos from a range of licensed IP. Knowledge of platform algorithms and how best to optimize them is essential. The SSVM will be obsessed with iterative detail and appreciate how titles, thumbnails and descriptions can affect consumption. In addition to managing the end-to-end process of video production, the SSVM will have experience in monetising video content on social media plaforms and optimising revenue growth across a range of channels including YouTube & Meta. A central part of the role is collaborating with key stakeholders across the wider team and business in addition to liaising with external stakeholders and agencies when necessary. The role will also require the successful candidate to have video editing experience, to support the team on ad-hoc briefs. Asset management of licensed content with associated expire dates and geographical restrictions Analysis of YouTube Studio analytics and knowledge of Tubular Labs platform. Work with the Head of Social Media to ensure videos are optimized across a range of social media platforms Manage the operational side of monetising content: rights clearances, content delivery workflow, content optimisation. Be responsible for the editorial strategy on Youtube and output across monetised content on on Meta. Work closely with commissioning and other internal stakeholders in bringing programme extensions to life on social media. Be a key contributor to driving and delivering UKTVs social strategy. Ownership of YouTube across the network, leading on content strategy and content planning that delivers against business & brand goals. Ownership of monthly YouTube reports detailing KPIs and progress against wider targets Own monetisable content sitting on Meta closely liaising with Head pf Social and social media managers to ensure governance and set up is followed. Lead on implementing operational best practice and governance across all video content, ensuring teams are delivering against UKTV social media policies and maximise commercial opportunities. Lead and manage resource allocation for video editors for the whole social team. Through team, manage end to end process of YouTube workflow: content research, selection, video editing, rights clearances, delivery workflow. Collaborate with senior social media team to support digital commissioning ideas & development, helping translate programme ideas into social-first spin offs. Work closely with social media analyst to optimise plans to improve views and revenue. Lead performance updates on monetised content/platforms, acting as the glue between wider teams to ensure all stakeholders are informed and consulted appropriately. Seek and leverage opportunities to maximise commercial potential of social media content through partner ad sales, sponsorships. Support network social media strategy and implement various revenue driving growth initiatives across YouTube, TikTok and Facebook. Implement and manage content ID solution at UKTV. Manage effective relationships with internal teams (specifically marketing, social, comms, VOD and commissioning) as well as external partners including production companies and talent. Ensure platform best practice is adhered to across all content, taking into consideration platform nuances and ever evolving updates.
