As part of our longstanding partnership with Airbus we provide the Air Traffic Control function for Hawarden Airport, which is a key component in the production of the Airbus fleet. We have an exciting opportunity for an Air Traffic Control Officer to join our team based at Hawarden Airport. You will provide Aerodrome Instrument (ADI) and Approach Surveillance (APS) Air Traffic Control Services, adhering to relevant regulatory and company standards and procedures, within complex airspace in the Hawarden area of responsibility. The role requires flexibility and the ability to work shifts, which include early starts, late finishes (no night shifts) and weekend shifts, in order to meet the operational requirements of the airport. The nature of this work requires the post holder to establish and maintain effective working relationships: with all departments within the Airport; with the Customer and/or customer representatives; with external agencies, specifically regulatory bodies, such as the CAA and with other relevant stakeholders. Essential Qualifications: • A UK CAA Aerodrome Control Rating (ADI) with current TWR & RAD Endorsements • A UK CAA Approach Control Surveillance Rating (APS) with current APS and SRA Endorsements. • ICAO English Language Proficiency Certificate at Level 5 or higher; • A Current UK Class 3 medical certificate. Desirable Qualifications: • Full or Restricted Meteorological Observers Certificate • OJTI Endorsement Whilst this is a dual-rated position we welcome applications from ATCOs holding only an Approach Control Surveillance (APS) rating with or without a current endorsement who would be interested in a single rated position with the possibility of further training in the future.
