Job Description
As booking clerk you will provide general booking-in administration for the Operations Team.
You will need to be organized and have a good understanding of excel to be successful in this role.
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 9 to 5.
What will you be doing?
* Arranging bookings via spreadsheets, email and telephone
* Recording and communicating of booking-in with customers
* Answering any booking related queries
* Liaise with customers and hauliers whilst maintaining excellent customer service
* Liaising with the Operations Team to ensure booking amendments are communicated efficiently and without detrimental effect to the operation
* Checking the accuracy of paperwork sent both to and from customers and hauliers and updating WMS accordingly
* Creating receipts in WMS and ensuring accurate allocation
* Support with any other duties as required from the Operations team in a helpful manner
Qualifications
* Excellent attention to detail / accuracy
* Planning and organising skills, high level of numeracy
* Negotiating skills, ability to influence and steer
* Ability to work without direct supervision
* Adaptable and methodical approach to work / training
* Conscientious and reliable
* The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
