This new role is focused on supporting the staff team to provide high quality care and support to effectively meet the needs of the children and young people. This will include but is not limited to supporting: The planning, preparation and engagement within a wide range of social and play based activities including trips and outings Effective intimate and personal care Safe and effective administration of medication The preparation and delivery of snacks and meals Children to communicate using a wide range of methods. The Person We are looking for someone who: Has experience of working with children and young people aged 4 to 18 years Is keen to work towards a formal qualification to enable progression through the service. Is fun, engaging, adaptable and passionate about working with children and young people with additional support needs Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration. If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months.
