Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH) is pleased to announce a vacancy for a band 5 nurse in our children's haemodialysis unit. We are looking for a registered children's nurse with the ambition to expand their skills in this highly specialist unit.

You will work as part of a small team of nurses caring for children needing dialysis and plasma exchange.
As a registered nurse at Nottingham Children's Hospital, you will be expected to maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.
You will motivate colleagues, champion children’s and family’s safety and dignity, and drive continuous improvement.
Nottingham Children's Hospital will support you in your role and provide the relevant education, training, and support for you to deliver high-quality care.

The haemodialysis unit is part of the East Midlands, East of England, and South Yorkshire kidney network (EMEESY), and you will work closely with the in-patient ward, a specialist nurse team, and a wider multi-professional team.

Qualifications
* Current level one NMC registration
* Possession of mentor course or willingness to complete
Experience
* Experience of delivering nursing care to a group of patients
* Supervision of non-registered staff and students
* Experience of paediatric nephrology nursing
* Demonstrate evidence of a link role or involvement in project work
* Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrates basic IT skills
* Awareness of own limitations and able to communicate these
