This fantastic secondment opportunity will bring together key stakeholders from across Lancashire and South Cumbria to drive forward positive change for our patients requiring neurorehabilition.
This fixed term post will require the post holder will have day-to-day leadership and management responsibility for the delivery of strategic programme's for specific conditions and patient groups in a defined geographical area.
This will include ensuring effective engagement of patients, professionals and constituent organisations in programme activities that support the delivery of national outcome ambitions in line with local needs and resources.
The post holder will lead the provision of an efficient, effective, and high quality professional and well-co-ordinated service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the NHS England and local system.
Main duties of the job
As Programme Manager, the post holder will support the effective delivery of the Specialist Neurorehabilitation Programme across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
1. Manage the specialist inpatient and community neurorehabilitation workstream and improvement support function, including developing and managing the workstreams work programmes, progress and reporting risk and issue management.
2. Undertake scoping and mapping exercise around the modelling of neurorehabilitation beds and current provisions across L&SC
3. Develop a regional neurorehabilitation service in conjunction with the Lead commissioner.
4. Develop an Integrated End to End Service Specification for neurorehabilitation to mirror the Stroke service specification.
5. Manage delivery of the Specialist neurorehabilitation work programme and related boards and steering groups
6. To liaise with the complex network of stakeholders involved with improvement, transformation and quality for specialist neurorehabilitation care.
7. Develop and implement a system to ensure information is properly managed and best practice is shared across the workstream, Directorate, the wider NHS organisation including ICSs/HCPs.
8. Work closely with the Clinical Leads across specialist rehabilitation and lead key projects on their behalf where necessary

The integrated therapy team consists of a whole MDT team including Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Clinical Psychology, Assistant Practitioners & AHP Professor in Neurorehabilitation.

The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning, and service. The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.
The post holder will support and be accountable to the Specialist Commissioner for Neurorehabilitation and their team to ensure that their work programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery:
