Job Title: Teacher of Science
Responsible to: Head of Science
Contract: Permanent, full time
Start Date: September 2025
Main Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to inspire and engage pupils in the wonder of science, fostering a passion for inquiry and academic excellence. Delivering high-quality, curriculum-aligned instruction in various scientific disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. By creating a dynamic learning environment you will encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration among pupils.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in alignment with the school curriculum.
* Prepare and conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations.
* Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
* Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
* Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.
* Stay updated with advancements in science education and best teaching practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
* Valid teaching certification/license for secondary education.
* Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and pedagogical strategies.
* Experience in teaching science at the secondary level is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
