Strategic Development Manager needed in Rochdale Paying £27.45 per hr ref 0009 9B02 /1 Full time hours on a temporary basis Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Strategic Development Manager to lead and ensure the strategic direction, effective governance, and performance management of the Rochdale Safer Communities Partnership (RSCP). The successful candidate will embed a public health approach in service delivery, oversee strategic needs assessments, and develop community safety strategies. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Direction and Governance: Lead the strategic direction, governance, and performance management of the RSCP. Ensure the partnership meets its statutory duties. Public Health Approach: Design and deliver health needs assessments, health equity audits, and other public health tools to support service commissioning and delivery. Strategic Needs Assessments: Oversee and coordinate strategic needs assessments to ensure an evidence-based approach for duties such as Domestic Abuse, Reducing Reoffending, Substance Misuse, Crime and Disorder, Serious Violence, etc. Community Safety Strategies: Develop and coordinate relevant community safety strategies and policies. Implement development and action plans for these work streams. Evidence-Based Support: Provide robust evidence to inform strategies and decisions for Community Safety Services, Public Health, and partners. Produce and analyse management information and statistical data. Commissioning Support: Support the commissioning process for community safety services. Monitor contracts, performance, and ensure outcomes are delivered within budget. Financial Management: Accountable for the financial management and reporting of community safety grants. Serious Violence Duties: Lead the Community Safety Service's response to serious violence, including youth violence. Service Improvement Plans: Support the Head of Service in developing and implementing service improvement plans.
