This position of Equipment & Resource Coordinator is essential in the support of the operations and resource management of NEP UK, ensuring that our facilities and crews are supported, and are in the best position to provide our clients with a first-class service and experience.
The position is integral in the planning, booking and coordination of hired and NEP owned equipment required to deliver world-renowned outside broadcasts.
We are looking for candidates with a good appreciation of engineering equipment and language, who can multi-task, have strong organisation skills, and are solutions orientated.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Equipment & Resources Manager as directed with the planning and booking of NEP UK, NEP Group, and hired equipment for future events. The typical equipment will include Audio, Vision, Cameras, Lenses, VT, and other equipment as maybe necessary on an Outside Broadcast (OB).
* Utilize in-house asset management software (and Excel) to gather equipment information and issue commercial invoices and carnet documents. Work with external freight agents to ensure correct documentation is accurate and in advance of deadlines.
* Allocate equipment and provide load sheets to relevant crew so that they can load and check the trucks in base and on site.
* Ensure base crew have information on the collections and deliveries of equipment, allowing them to organise their day and ensure equipment is available when needed.
* Brief Base and Engineering teams on allocation of rented and internal resources which will arrive for any given job in the working week.
* Work closely with all crew and suppliers to certify rented equipment is checked and returned on time.
* Follow up any missing or broken items and liaise with technical maintenance to help mitigate any loss. Highlight any equipment shortfalls or pinch points to the Equipment & Resources Manager.
Skills / Qualifications
* Highly developed negotiation skills with a good financial awareness and ability to understand the marketplace.
* Well-developed communication skills with the willingness to liaise across departments and opposite numbers across the NEP network. Should be able to demonstrate a team player attitude and understand the importance of collaborative working.
* Must be confident using a computer and Microsoft Office, including Teams, Outlook, Forms, Word and Excel.
* An understanding and knowledge of engineering language and equipment with the motivation to keep up to date with movements in new technology is preferred.
* Working knowledge of scheduling software is desirable (ScheduALL and R2).
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and work with changing parameters, timelines and demands – flexible mindset will be helpful for success.
