Job Description:
A specialist SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties) SEN school in Westminster is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment, delivering tailored Maths lessons to students with specific learning needs and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Role Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent position at a specialist SpLD SEN school in Westminster
* Teach Maths to students with specific learning difficulties, providing differentiated instruction to meet individual learning needs
* Develop and deliver engaging, creative, and accessible lessons that make Maths accessible and enjoyable for all students
* Work closely with the SENCO and support staff to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support student progress
* Track and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods to ensure the best outcomes
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment, encouraging student participation and confidence
* Provide feedback to parents, carers, and other professionals involved in students' education and well-being
Experience & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Maths, ideally in an SEN setting or with students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
* Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and differentiation for students with SpLD
* A passion for making Maths accessible and engaging for students with additional needs
* Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
* Enhanced DBS check required
