About us:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team responsible for a range of services including Income Collection and Debt Recovery, Income Management, and Accounts Payable.
Job Description:
Working alongside the other Assistant Managers, you will play a crucial role in delivering the team's objectives, with your main responsibility being to lead a team of staff to deliver its Income Management, Collection, and Supplier function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Income Collection and the creation of Supplier records for Trade & Non-Trade accounts.
* Manage teams that cover the above roles.
* Manage the Pay360 system, test new products/upgrades, and changes to any payment-related products or interdependent back office systems.
* Lead on payment-related initiatives that would improve customer choice.
* Support the Supplier function by creating a robust and effective process, ensuring due diligence is followed to prevent fraud.
* Manage relationships with a range of partners including council services and external companies.
* Recruit, train, develop, and support team members to achieve the highest performance standards.
Essential Requirements Include:
* Minimum of one year's experience in income management.
* Knowledge of account receivable software packages and relevant legislation.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to plan, organize, and manage workloads effectively.
* Self-motivated with a positive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
* Excellent I.T. skills and proficiency in the use of Excel and Word.
* Educated to A level or equivalent, or equivalent level of experiential learning.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part-time, or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
