Job Title: SEN Teacher - Behaviour Specialism Location: Poole Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediate / April 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Do you have a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you skilled in managing and guiding students with behavioural challenges? If so, GSL Education are seeking a committed and motivated SEN Teacher with a behaviour specialism to join a dynamic and inclusive school in Poole. As a SEN Teacher, your expertise will be pivotal in providing tailored support for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will foster a structured and supportive environment that empowers students to thrive both academically and personally. Responsibilities: Deliver tailored and engaging lessons to students with SEN and behavioural needs, following individualised learning plans. Develop and implement strategies to support positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support for students. Monitor, assess, and report on the progress and achievements of students. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and styles. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to foster a calm and productive environment. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with behavioural challenges. Strong understanding of SEMH and strategies to support positive outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students and stakeholders. A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach to teaching. A commitment to ongoing professional development. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
