The Account Manager’s role is to be the key person on their client accounts day-to-day, ensuring the smooth running of the accounts to help deliver work that is strategically and creatively excellent - and make sure they are profitable for the Agency. You will be working across the agency’s varied digital accounts, helping the Account Director smoothly delivery of digital projects and campaigns, whilst getting to know the client and helping formulate the processes and procedures. This should be achieved through building positive internal and external (especially client) relationships, the effective supervision of team members and the efficient application of agency processes to ensure delivery of excellent work within agreed budgets and timescales. We are looking for an experienced Digital Account Manager which may suit a current Senior Account Exec looking to take the step up, or an existing Account Manager who wants to join a progressive agency with an interesting array of world class clients within the growing Digital Division.

You will work closely with the other members of the digital team, reporting to the Digital Account Director, although you will also integrate closely with every other part of the group (integrated communications) to offer a wholly holistic offering to clients. The successful candidate is likely to be degree qualified (or the equivalent work experience) - preferably in a design, business, marketing or Digital and have a minimum of two years of solid experience within an agency environment - working in digital, with a focus on website build project management. Digital marketing experience and a good grasp of analytics and SEO would also be an added bonus. Essential for this role:
* Experience of account managing clients and the web build process – from specification through design, development and project completion.
* Understanding of digital marketing strategy, especially SEO and PPC .... although not necessarily hands on experience
* Excellent organisational skills, project/deadline management, and time management. You’ll need to spin many plates simultaneously
* Self-starter – able to take tasks and run with them, and keep pushing to get stuff done on time and to budget.
* Excellent overall team player
* Attention to detail and accuracy in all work with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Enthusiasm and passion for the digital industry and new developments/technologies therein
* Strong presentation skills (both verbal and written).
* Able to present to and deal with senior clients directly.
* Understanding and experience of usability, conversion rate optimisation, or mobile app builds.
Additional (desirable)
* Other digital marketing skills such as social media, email marketing, affiliate marketing, etc.
* Agile (Scrum Master or AgilePM) qualifications and/or experience
* Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ).
Day to day:
* Overall management of various accounts, including web builds, road map development, maintenance, marketing and other creative work.
* Chairing client, internal and external supplier meetings.
* Quality management of external suppliers.
* Briefing and management of internal departments – Design, Development, Planning etc.
About the Role - Digital Account Manager’s key skills and experience required:
* Excellent communication skills, particularly advanced listening, providing clarity and consistency to clients and internal teams
* Strong organisational and project management skills within an agency
* Team player, not afraid to roll your sleeves up!
* Eye for creativity and ability to clearly constructive feedback
* Excellent attention to detail
* Shows initiative and pro-activity
* Understanding of wider marketing channels and their role in the communications mix
* Understanding of media channels and ability to recommend appropriate channels
* Understanding of role of strategy and planning within the auspices of campaign delivery
* Ability to provide positive input into the strategy process, getting to the crux of a brief, the audience and proposition
* Briefing creative, digital and production teams as appropriate
* Fully understands client’s business and market and keeping on top of new developments and trends - it would be ideal if you had experience in a large regulated account environment such as financial services or utilities
* Adds value to clients/agency business – and to your team
* Ability to deliver projects smoothly on time and on budget
* Assists the Account Director to forecasting future income streams and making sure projects and overall clients are profitable and prepped for growth
* Has knowledge of all aspects of the agency process model and competent in progressing work within this framework such as: Prepping schedules and quotations, taking briefs, briefing in planning/creative/production/studio etc. Also you will attend client meetings and go out on shoots etc.
Qualifications - We are looking for an agency experienced individual who wants to join an established team / agency. We are looking for a minimum of 1 year’s experience and a focussed and ambitious attitude. This may be perfect for an existing Account Exec / SAE to step up or an existing AM who wants to be an integral part of a flagship team. It is highly preferable that you have creative agency experience, but we may consider a great client side candidate if you have experience of briefing and come from a large financial services / utilities industry background (campaign delivery).
Required SkillsPreferred SkillsPay range and compensation package - Salary is purely dependent on skills and experience with a range of great benefits. You will work from the Edinburgh office 3 days per week, so you must be able to commute to the office. You can work 2 days from home. Salary £25,000 - £35,000 + excellent benefits.
