We are seeking an inspirational and commercially astute General Manager, Residential Aged Care to lead the strategic and operational success of our aged care services. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about high-quality, person-centered care and is ready to drive innovation and performance in a complex, multi-site environment for our respected organisation.
As General Manager, you will oversee the operational management, financial sustainability, and strategic direction of our residential aged care services. You will lead a large, regionally dispersed team to ensure excellence in care, compliance, and service delivery while fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide visionary leadership across multiple aged care facilities, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and values.
2. Drive efficiency and service effectiveness, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
3. Champion person-centered care, enhancing the quality of life for residents and fostering a culture of respect, dignity, and inclusion.
4. Manage budgets, identify opportunities for growth, and ensure the financial sustainability of services.
5. Inspire and develop a high-performing workforce, cultivating a positive and engaged team culture.
6. Build strong relationships with residents, families, employees, and external partners to promote trust and collaboration.
About You
We are looking for a strategic and people-focused leader with a strong background in aged care management and a commitment to operational excellence and service innovation.
Essential Skills & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, Business Administration, or a related field
2. Extensive experience in senior aged care leadership, overseeing multi-site operations
3. Strong commercial acumen with proven financial management and budgeting expertise
4. Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of inspiring large, geographically dispersed teams
5. Deep knowledge of aged care compliance, funding, and regulatory frameworks.
6. High-level problem-solving and decision-making abilities
7. Ability to lead and manage change in a complex, evolving sector
