The Opportunity
We are looking for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to lead our nursing team at a well-established small animal practice in South West London. Our dedicated team includes experienced veterinary nurses and receptionists, and we are committed to providing exceptional first-opinion care.
Our clinic is fully equipped with modern facilities, including a laboratory with biochemistry and haematology equipment, a microscope, two consultation rooms, digital and dental x-ray, a separate dental suite, a theatre, and dedicated wards for dogs and cats.

Schedule:
Full-time role, working 40 hours per week, with 1 in 6 weekends.
Role Responsibilities
1. Provide strong clinical leadership to the nursing team.
2. Consistently deliver excellent care to clients and their pets.
3. Assist with surgeries and procedures, ensuring all pre- and post-operative care is delivered to a high standard.
4. Manage and promote nurse-led consultations and procedures in line with Schedule 3 responsibilities.
5. Oversee patient monitoring and care throughout the day.
6. Manage patient admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
7. Coordinate patient transfers for out-of-hours or specialised care when needed.

Your Skills and Experience
1. Registered with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse.
2. Demonstrable experience in delivering high standards of patient and client care.
3. Confidence in leading and managing a clinical team.
4. Experience in promoting nurse clinics and nurse-led consultations.
5. Skilled in coaching and developing colleagues to maximise team performance.
